Yesterday (1 Sept 2015) I had a dialogue with Young Inspirators Network, Sakal, Aurangabad. Tried to draw their attention towards Demand Side Management. Read out two excellent poems on "water". One by Ga Di Ma - "nadee maahera jate" & another by Dasu Vaidya -"nighun gelaa aahe". There were interesting discussions after my presentation. I, time & again, realize that only two things have been registered on the minds of common people like any thing - Interlinking of Rivers & Shirpur Pattern. It is difficult to emphasize the importance of inter disciplinary approach & to make people see the things in broader perspective. People have become desperate. They want water any how & not theory!
I feel opinion makers need to be made aware of reality & contradictions in water sector. Its a long way to go. Let us keep trying.
Any way, what is important ? Reaching out & go beyond the usual circle of friends!. I am really fed up of one thing - convincing the convinced!
